Port Victoria is a small town on the western side of the Yorke Peninsula about 15 minutes form Maitland.  It was once one of the busiest ports in South Australia loading grain.  The last great commercial sailing ships used the Port as late as the 1950's and there are numerous shallow wrecks around the nearby Wardang Island.  It is a great place to stay for families with a very sheltered town beach as well as some more exposed beaches nearby.
